Our Objective

To help children have the best foot forward in their academic careers. We treat children who have been affected with some sort of speech/communication disorder (caused genetically or medically) to ensure they have the brightest future possible. Following are some of the disorders treated:

  • Stuttering

  • Fluency

  • Articulation

  • Language delay

  • Muscular dystrophy

  • Autism

  • Cleft palete

Treatments are open to all. There are no restrictions as to gender, race, etc, other than age. Age is restricted to children 2–7 years prior to the child entering his/her elementary–high school years. Treatments are provided by Master’s level licensed (in North Dakota) speech pathologists from Sanford Medical. Treatments are given in specially designed facilities to maximize the treatment objectives. They are given at the Fargo Masonic Center, to facilitate parental observation and follow-up reinforcement of the child’s interaction with the pathologist’s treatments.

Costs

All treatment costs, however long, are entirely FREE to the patient and his/her family. Financial resources to support treatments are entirely generated by the Scottish Rite Masons of Fargo through Foundation Grants, individual member’s gifts, countless fund-raisers of many types, Giving Hearts Day, and a unique can recycling program.

Management

All operational management is voluntary. No salaries are paid other than those to the Speech Pathologists. Virtually all donations go entirely to and for patient care. The Rite Care Language Center is a 501 (c) 3 IRS approved charity. All donations are recognized and receipts sent to substantiate contributions for those who itemize their tax deductions.
